(1) To coordinate planning and development of transportation activities with federal, state and local agencies.

(2) To preserve the character of Maywood Park neighborhood streets and existing road system.

(3) Promote and support the use of alternative means of urban travel such as bicycling and walking.

(4) To cooperate with Tri- Met in its promotional, routing, and scheduling efforts for the use of public transportation.

(5) To encourage a public transit system that addresses the special needs for the transit-dependent population.

(6) To coordinate a local planning review of highway projects with the Oregon Action Plan for transportation.

(7) The City will review the Six-Year Highway Improvement Program adopted by the Oregon Transportation Commission and will comply with the changes in the future.
