A. Any violation of MPMC 5.15.010 will result in a minimum fine of $1,500. Every violation subsequent to the first violation will be $1,500 plus an increase of $750.00 per subsequent violation (i.e., second violation $2,250, third violation $3,000). Any fine must be paid within 30 days to the office. The city has the right to place a lien on any home that fails to pay the fine within 30 days. If the violation is by a tenant then homeowner will be designated as the responsible party for paying the fine.

B. In addition to the penalties in subsection A of this section, any cultivation of marijuana outdoors in the city of Maywood for nonpersonal use will result in an additional fine of $5,000 and forfeiture of any plants grown outside. The city has the right to place a lien on any home that fails to pay the fine within 30 days.
