10.10.010 Vehicle movement.
Except as authorized by the terms of permits issued by the city council, no person shall drive or move and no owner shall cause or permit to be driven or moved upon the streets of Maywood Park any vehicle or combination of vehicles of a size or weight exceeding the following limitations:
A. Total outside width of eight feet; or
B. Total height of 10 feet; or
C. Total gross weight of 8,000 pounds; or
D. Having more than one rear axle.
Utility vehicles providing service to municipality residents shall be exempt from this chapter.
All recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, boat trailers, vacation house trailers, tent trailers or commercial trailers are exempt from this chapter for the sole purpose of immediate loading or unloading of persons or property.
The operation of any vehicle or combination of vehicles in violation of this chapter shall be prima facie evidence that the owner of such vehicle or combination caused or permitted it to be so operated and the owner shall be liable for any penalties imposed as a result of such operation.
A violation of this chapter shall result in a fine of not more than $500.00. [Ord. 18A, 1989; Ord. 18, 1978.]
