Therefore, Douglas fir trees and other conifers, along with many broadleaf trees, are declared to be beneficial community assets. To that end, it shall be unlawful to cut down, damage, poison, or in other manner to destroy or cause to be destroyed trees covered under this chapter, except in accordance with provisions of this chapter.
